California exhaust bill repeal AB 390 approved by transportation committee

(Source: Hot Rod Network) California AB 1824 shook the automotive community in the Golden State earlier this year when it proposed to increase the severity of punishment for cars with loud exhaust systems. With a few videos circulating the internet of people getting slapped with $1,000 fines, a little more of a stir was caused, but what people failed to realize is that this was no new law. What changed was how law enforcement handled exhaust violations and “fix-it” tickets no longer being issued. In response, a SEMA-supported repeal, AB 390 was drafted to combat the changes to California’s pre-existing exhaust-noise laws. Read full article….
